An 18th Century Mahogany Cheese Coaster of Boat Shape. The raised ends with half round shaped and tapered columns, the undersides with recessed finger grips, and the columns finished with bulls eye paterae. The body sweeping down toward the centre, and fitted with a conforming division for different sized truckles. The rectangular lower body with a rounded mould foot rim, the underside with a baize covering. Height 7 1/2 inches, 19cm. Width 17 1/2 inches, 44cm. Depth 11 inches, 28cm. Date circa 1780.Ref: 23471
