A Late 18th Century Mahogany Butlers Tray and Stand. The tray with hinged ratchet sides, the rounded sides hinging vertically to form a rectangular tray, and folding flat to form an oval tray. The sides with shaped hand holds. The body of the tray with broad rails, surrounding a centre single panel. The tray resting on a folding stand of square section legs, joined by cross stretchers. Date circa 1780. Height 31 inches, 79cm, sides flat. Width 27 1/2 inches, 70cm, sides up. Depth 21 inches, 54cm, sides up.Ref: 23813
