A Large 19th Century Meat Plate. The dished and sloping scallop edged rim decorated with scrolling flowers and foliage surrounding a centre scene of the 'Castle Pattern'. The scene showing swans on a moat, beside which cows water, and two men fish as two people walk through a key stone entrance lodge to a castle, set amongst mature trees. The centre with drainage channels leading to a gravy well at one end. The rear with raised foot brackets. Date circa 1850. Height 2 3/4 inches, 6.5cm. Width 18 1/2 inches, 47cm.
