18TH C DELFT CHARGER

An 18th Century Delft Charger in Oriental taste. The rim decorated with a lattice banding, interspersed with oval panels of spreading flowers. The centre of the charger painted with a scene of shrubs and flowers, from which a willow tree grows, and beside which a dragonfly flits. The rear with a recessed foot rim. Date circa 1740. Height 1 ¼ inches, 3.5cm. Diameter 11 ¾ inches, 30cm.
