An Early 19th Century Bronze of Napoleon. The Emperor shown wearing a bi-corn hat with plum, as he looks forward, with a pensive expression, his left hand resting inside his medal and epaulette adorned tunic, partially covered by his open long coat, whilst in h is right hand he holds an order of battle. He stands in riding boots, his legs slightly astride. The bronze mounted on an ormolu, brass and bronze pedestal, the cap and base with hatched, rope twist and beaded decoration, the body mounted with the Imperial laurel crown. The whole resting on a marble plinth. Date circa 1830. Height 12 inches, 31cm. Width 4 1/4 inches, 10.5cm. Depth 4 1/4 inches, 10.5cm.
