An Early 19th Century Burr Yew Wood Box. The top of the box with a centre tablet, bordered with stringing and crossbanding, surrounded by chamfered sides, finished with boxwood stringing. The top opening to a green paper lined interior. The box with straight edges sweeping to a tapering lower body, raised up on brass lions paw feet. The body edged with boxwood stringing as per the top. Complete with lock and key. Date circa 1820. Height 5 inches, 13cm. Width 9 inches, 23cm. Depth 7 inches, 18cm.Ref: 23367
